Trusted Advisors.

CCAs are trusted experts – professionally certified, committed to continuing education, and dedicated to helping Michigan farmers succeed.

The Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Program is the leading certification for agronomic professionals in North America, and Michigan is part of the story.

In Michigan, we serve a diverse community of advisers, agronomists, and consultants working with farmers to optimize production, protect natural resources, and support a resilient food system.

CCAs are held to the highest professional standards.

These certified professionals meet rigorous standards set by the American Society of Agronomy, maintain credentials through continuing education, and uphold a strict code of ethics. All CCAs enter the program by passing a state-specific exam, and are subject to continuing education requirements. Go here to learn about the process of becoming a CCA.

A global program, overseen locally.

The program in Michigan is overseen by a Board of current Michigan CCAs. It’s administered by the Michigan Agri-Business Association, a statewide trade organization for rural and agricultural businesses. It’s connected across America and globally through the leadership of the American Society of Agronomy.
